What's new

What's new in ProfitSonar.

Newest first. The version you're on is in the side panel's footer; Chrome updates the extension by itself within a few days of a release.

Extension 0.8.0

Count the work. Time the session. Keep looking.

ProfitSonar has always shown where every outreach conversation stands. 0.8.0 adds the work that moves them: your own counters against weekly goals, and timed sessions that show how much of the time went to profiles. Both are free on every plan, and there are no new permissions to approve.

The My tracked events card in the side panel: three counters with their weekly goals, in front of the dashboard's Goals reached this week strip.

Tracked events

Set up to 12 counters on the Settings page, each with a name, a colour, an icon and an optional weekly goal over a 5-day or 7-day week. In the side panel, press ▲ each time you do the work and ▼ to take one back. The panel shows whether you're on pace and how many weeks in a row you've met the goal, and marks the moment you reach it. The dashboard charts your tracked events beside your activity, with the weeks you met your goal.

ProfitSonar never sees the comment or post itself. A press is a click in the panel, nothing more.

Switch on a tracked event
The session clock in the panel's header with 48 seconds left, in front of the Session time chart for the last 30 days.

Sessions

Turn on Sessions in Settings and a clock appears in the panel's header. Press Start for a countdown of 5 to 15 minutes, your choice, and press it again to keep going. It turns yellow, then red, as time runs low.

While a session runs, ProfitSonar notes the type of page you're on, such as a profile, Feed or Messaging, from the tab's address. It never keeps the address, and it can't see which other sites you visit. The new Sessions page shows how much of the time went to profiles, against a daily goal, and every session with its page types. Free shows today and the last 30 days. Pro adds yesterday, this week, last week and up to 12 months.

Also new

  • A welcome page the first time you install, with a one-minute demo on sample data.
  • The side panel is useful off a profile too: your tracked events, the clock and a few tips.
  • Replay the demo from Settings or from the panel, and hide that card once you're done with it.
  • The dashboard remembers the range you last picked, and its legend hides and shows a series on a click.
  • Changing your password, deleting your account or changing plan from a sign-in older than a day asks for a code sent to your email.
  • The version in the panel's footer opens this page.

Getting it

Chrome updates ProfitSonar by itself within a few days of a release. The panel's footer shows the version you're on. Not added yet? The Free plan covers everything above, no card needed.

Extension 0.7.0

The first update after the Chrome Web Store launch.

The panel's Dashboard and plan links sign you in on the website and reuse a ProfitSonar tab you already have open. Pro gained new connections and the this week and last week ranges. A one-time "Allow for linkedin.com" lets the panel follow you from profile to profile.
